Frazer Woods NV Pinot Chardonnay 6-Pack
The base for this wine is early picked Margaret River and Manjimup fruit, hand picked in the early morning and carefully processed to retain fresh fruit flavours. The base wine remained on primary yeast lees for an extended period, and also underwent partial malolactic fermentation, adding complexity of texture and flavour. The wine was then bottled traditionally for a second fermentation and further aging on yeast lees, before disgorging, dosage and dressing for presentation and your enjoyment.
The golden straw colour signals the presence of toasty, developed aromas that are backed by dried fig and apricot characters and nuances of freshly baked bread.
On the palate an array complex flavours including fresh peach, walnut and fruit loaf are complemented by upfront sweetness, crisp acid on the mid palate and a clean, dry, toasty finish, all supported by a fine, consistent bead.
Ideal as an aperitif, or to accompany lighter dishes, with or without spicy notes.
